Logo Parodies That Speak The Truth
1. Describe the logo using the language of the Elements and Principles of Design.
This logo is really eye contrast because it has a very big contrast. It uses bright colours and then goes to a black and white colour, which makes it really stand out. This image uses simple objects that really stand out.
2. Describe the symbols used in the logo. Why did the graphic artist use such imagery?
The symbols used in this logo are the BP logo, which is used to represent who this parody is being directed to. BP is the main cause for this problem and this ad is being directed towards them. They also used the symbol of dripping oil to show what the problem is. This oil spill is really affecting our Earth and they must show the audience what BP is doing to our environment.
3. What does this logo say of BP's coroporate identity?
This logo shows how bad BP is. It is showing that they are the cause of this dangerous problem and they are causing extreme damage to our Earth and the environment. It says that they aren't doing anything to fix this problem that they started.

This is a mixture of both acting and animation. In order to make these characters come to life, you need actors to express the emotions and body language that they need. The animation and special effects add realistic detail to enhance the image of these characters.
2. Do you think that animated character should be eligible for acting awards?
Yes, I believe that animated characters should be eligible for actings awards. The animation just adds features to a creature like character, it doesn't take away from the acting. These actors still express many emotions and body movements that make the characters what they are.
3. Do you think that human actors will ever become obsolete? Why or why not?
No, I don't think human actors will become obsolete. No one can express emotions better than a human and animated characters will never be able to do it as good as a human can. Actors are able to portray different types of roles with their natural talent. True emotions and body movement come from humans.

From Spray Can To Light
Light Graffiti: This example of light graffiti shows a picture inspired by the game, Pacman. This image really caught my eye because I love playing pacman, it's a really intense game. They used various colours to make the image colourful and more noticeable. They also used contrast because the background is very dark and the images really stand out.
Street vs Light Graffiti: Both images are using different types of art, but they are very similar. They both reflect popular cartoon characters and don't really have a message. Both of these images used very bright and vivid colours that really catch your attention and stand out. They are very striking images meant to catch someone's attention, especially because they reflect popular cartoon characters that most people know about.
A Look At Music Videos
All Falls Down- By Kanye West
Initial Reaction: When I first viewed this music video, I thought it was very interesting because it was really smart and creative. It was really cool how he was making a music video in the perspective of his eyes and what he sees instead of what the audience sees.
Analysis and Interpretation: This music video doesn't seem to relate to the lyrics of the song but I still thought that it was still an amazing video. They filmed the video as if it were in Kanye West's perspective instead of what the audience sees and that's the first time I've ever seen that. This music video shows a lot of materialism. It shows clips of a woman and how they spend a lot of money on expensive things. The main message of this music video is that everyone is insecure and unsure of what they want to be, therefore leading to materialism and spending money on things we think we need in society.
Consideration of Cultural Context: Many life experiences could have influenced this musician and it's directors. The life of being surrounded by materialistic people and things could have influenced them a lot. There are so many people in the world that are insecure and use materialism to solve their problems and fill that void. America is filled with many superficial, insecure, and materialistic people.
Expression of Aesthetic Judgement: I really love the cinematography and special effects int his music video. They are really realistic and creative. I think that filming this video in Kanye's perspective really attracts my attention. The contents of this music video are very simple but still are able to capture an obvious theme that is reality.
Ongoing Reflection: This music video made me realize what this song is really about. It made me pay attention to the lyrics more and I realized that is was more about money and materialistic people. It also made me realize that Kanye is trying to say that there are many insecure people out there who are hiding behind the material things that they buy.

This is a very humorous mash-up explaining the copyright law. This mash-up includes many clips from different disney movies such as Alladin, Mulan, Lion King and many others. This is a comedic parody because it is manipulating different parts of various disney movies and creating it into something that reflects the copyright law.

I think its creator broke copyright laws because these clips of the Disney movies do not belong to him. These movies belong to disney and stole these clips from the movies in order to create his message.

I think that a mash-up like this requires copyright permission because the creators used disney movies, which he does not own or have permission to use. He used various parts of these movies to create a comical way of expressing this message. He did not create any of these video clips and he needs copyright permission from disney in order to create this mash-up video.
